The High Peaks Painting Project has officially begun! I am hiking my way through the 46 High Peaks in the Adirondacks, and painting the view from each summit. Here are the self-imposed ground rules: painting must occur on (or within several hundred feet of) the actual summit. No photographs. No pre-mixing of colors and no painting in bad weather. Repeat paintings are allowed... 3 down, 43 to go! Additionally, several landscapes resulted from an Artist-in-Residency at the beautiful Adirondak Loj in Lake Placid, NY.
