Peacock is one of the beloved birds in the Animals series. Painted using watercolors & inks in vibrant jewel-tones, it was created in 2016.
From the artist: "At the time, I was living in Vermont. I couldn't help but find some inspiration in the chickens roaming the backyard -- their incredible colors, poses.. their natural confidence and affinity for big displays & sweeping movements. This peacock seemed to share that spirit; I loved painting its gem-like qualities."
